pieces together!We are looking for a full-time Quality Technician 1
for our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role you will be
responsible for organizing and performing testing and/or
calibration activities by reviewing schedules, operating equipment
and producing accurate records.Other essential functions
include:Follow schedules and perform tasks as assignedDemonstrate
basic knowledge and understanding of electronics and/or mechanical
theory and applicationsPerform basic tests and/or calibrations in
accordance with plans and proceduresPerform calibration, tests and
verification of equipment to authorized plans and proceduresReview
calibrations and equipment datasheets, manufacturer's calibration
procedures and Garmin internal product schedules to implement
actions to update test and calibration procedures, as
identifiedMaintain and insure the integrity of calibration records
and equipment profilesSupport Quality functions in providing and
maintaining test equipment, fixtures, and interconnectsOther
responsibilities include:Maintain a high-level attention to detail
to insure accuracyComplete other duties as
assignedQualificationsQualified candidates possess an Associate of
Arts degree in Electronics Technology or Vocational Certificate in
Electronics or Engineering Technology, or substantially related
field or a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelor's degree in
Electronics Technology or a substantially related field or a high
school diploma or GED with previous Military training OR equivalent
combination of education and relevant experience Associate of Arts
degree in Electronics Technology.Other requirements include:
Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and
measurement devices (i.e. hand tools, calipers, gages,
etc.)Demonstrates strong electrical aptitude related to operating
electrical equipment and test devices (i.e. multimeters,
oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)Previous demonstrated
experience using Microsoft Office - Access, Outlook, Word, and
ExcelDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and
interpersonal communication skillsMust demonstrate the ability to
move work and test equipment to and from work areasMust possess the
ability to lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the
essential functions of this job descriptionExperience with ISO9000,
ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949 and previous calibration, reliability or
