This includes providing expedited collection and processing of different types of payments and correspondence for our customers and electronic documentation.Essential FunctionsPerform customer service research required to resolve issues timely mannerAct as primary liaison and point of escalation between internal clients, Systems Support, Information Technology, and managementCreate and update processing procedure documents to ensure they are kept up to date and accurateReview transactions and related documents and verify work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and conformance to established service levels and applicable policies and proceduresBalance and reconcile deposits to department reportsDeposit checks based on Image Cash Letter (ICL) totals that balance for file sent to transitPerform inventory control and supply orderingLead workflow and ensure that department procedures and quality goals are metProcess Protected Health Information (PHI) and card payments in compliance with HIPAA, Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards, and all other applicable policies and regulationsPerform other duties as assignedWork Schedule1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pmKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredAbility to trouble shoot and escalate system issues to manager as neededAbility to serve as a mentor and train team membersAbility to ask questions, identify opportunities for improvement, offer solutions to more complex issues, then retain information and apply details and logic to future situationsMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesAdvanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OutlookAbility to be flexible and work overtime hours when neededManual dexterity and eye-hand coordinationAbility to lift and move mail trays weighing up to 15 poundsRepetitive hand movementAbility to stand for up to 8 hours may be requiredEducation & ExperienceAssociates degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required3+ years of payment processing or related experience in production environment experience requiredExperience coaching and mentoring team members preferred**For this position, Commerce Bank is required to certify that you are not excluded from working with federally funded healthcare programs.
