Job Description:
KCAS Bioanalytical & Biomarker Services seeks Scientist I, II,
and III level candidates for positions within its Pharma
Formulations group in a growing organization in Shawnee, KS.KCAS is
a contract research organization (CRO) providing bioanalytical &
biomarker services to pharmaceutical clients in support of drug
developments and preclinical and clinical studies.As a Scientist in
our GLP bioanalytical laboratory at KCAS, you will act as a lead
for studies, with the ability to carry out and supervise all
aspects from setup through reporting and development. You will
utilize your strong base in scientific principles/theories to
assess data integrity and troubleshoot as necessary.In the roles of
Scientist I, II, or III, we will rely on you for the following:
- Proficiency with analytical Dose Formulation Analysis (DFA),
method development, validation, and analysis required by the
department.
- Act as a lead scientist, help design experiments, and provide
work instructions and technical training to more junior scientific
staff in daily activities.
- Prepare data summaries for senior scientists to aid in client
updates.
- Interact with clients and auditors as necessary.
- Act as a technical expert for all aspects of process design and
problem-solving.
- Perform all aspects of the job to support the company brand and

- Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology,
Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at
least 3 years of industry experience OR
- Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology,
Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at
least 2 years of industry experience OR
- D. in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or
Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at least 1 year of
industry experienceScientist II:
- Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology,
Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at
least 5 years of industry experience OR
- Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology,
Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at
least 4 years of industry experience OR
- D. in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or
Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at least 2 years of
industry experienceScientist III:
- Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology,
Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at
least 7 years of industry experience OR
- Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology,
Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at
least 5 years of industry experience OR
- D. in Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or
Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with at least 3 years of
industry experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good
Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical writing and basic computer skills.
- Proficient with the latest analytical chemistry techniques and
instrumentation.
- Experience with pharmaceutical formulation preparation and
analysis.
- Willingness and ability to provide procedural training and
coaching.
- Perform all aspects of the job to support the company brand and
support the company mission, vision, and values.Physical
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and
concisely.
