Material Handler/Equipment OperatorJob DescriptionDate: February 2021Job Title: Material Handler/Equipment OperatorReports To: Distribution Manager Exempt: NoSUMMARYThis position will be responsible for driving all tow motors and order pickers within the building in order to move product and/or materials. This will include loading and unloading trucks and transferring product in and out of racking for Distribution, CVS and Bean Bag cell. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Maintain and update inventory location records.Ensure 5S processes are being followed.Assure the integrity of inventory accuracy. Band products to pallets.Use truck spreadsheets to stage items for Distribution Department.Use of computer/handheld devices.Load and unload home sewer work.Use replenish lists provided by departments to restock departments.Provide continuous and timely feedback to Team Leader (including but not limited to safety, productivity, and Quality).Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department.General CharacteristicsAbility to perform several tasks concurrently. Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, percentages, area, circumference and basic calculations. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close viewing, peripheral and color vision. Must be capable of earning forklift certification.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job; the employee's activities include regular and/or repeated walking, standing, bending and twisting. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate and temperatures can reach 90+ degrees at various times of the year.
