Job Description - EMC Engineering Technician (21000N3)
We are looking for a full-time EMC Engineering Technician
at our headquarters in greater Kansas City. In this role you will
be responsible for Creating CAD drawings of harnesses and writing
technical reports, including documentation of the test setup, block
diagrams, and test setup schematics to fully document test results
and analysis using Microsoft Word and Excel. Other essential
Perform EMC (RF Susceptibility, Emissions and Lightning) testing
and monitor system performance
Work with high RF levels during HIRF testing and high
voltage/current levels during lightning testing.
Use common lab test equipment in testing and troubleshooting
test failures, including equipment such as multimeters,
oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, and logic analyzers
Familiarity with RF test equipment.
Good analytical and organizational skills
Maintain project files and notebooks in an organized manner.
Be flexible to work different projects, including non EMC
Qualified candidates possess a 2
yearElectronics/ElectricalTechnology degree or an equivalent
combination of education and releavnt experience. Other
Excellent academics (3.0 or higher as a general rule)
Capable of applying test processes and methods to verify design
and products performance
Understands importance of thoroughly documenting work in an
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and
interpersonal communication skills
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well
Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult
Be proactive to help others in the group duringany spare
Can execute simple (eg Appliance level) product test plans and
provide detailed test reports
Familiarity with DO160 test methods, especially Section 20 and
22 test methods and Aircraft systems knowledge is highly
