As a member of the licensing product team, you will work to drive implementation and adoption of emerging SaaS technologies to create effective and citizen-centric, digital government solutions. The Program Manager will serve as the key contact person with stakeholders and must have demonstrated experience in the implementation of large-scale projects, experience in contract management, possess strong skills in coordinating multiple teams sprinting in parallel. This person must be responsive to our customers to help ensure the successful implementation of a SaaS based system. Including managing the configuration of the system to meet customer requirements. The Program Manager will have a working knowledge of the licensing product. Managing the product backlog, for both the statements of work and platform improvement. Interacting daily with the software engineering team to manage the delivery of workable solutions within strict timelines and prioritization for multiple clients. Would consider candidates outside the Kansas City market. SUMMARY Responsible for developing, planning, and managing activities for complex projects. Projects may be large with broad scope, high impact, and long implementation time frames. Lead both the technical conversion as well as the business change required, while ensuring that day-to-day operations keep functioning flawlessly during the transition. Consult with multiple stakeholders to review proposals including goals, time frames, and funding limitations. Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Defining, planning and directing the execution of a broad range of technical and non-technical project Developing status reporting for internal and external customers at multiple seniority levels Managing and executing all Implementation activities including requirements gathering through testing, delivery and sign off of deliverables. Managing project scope with customers, to minimize scope creep and create and manage the enhancement backlogs in order to set appropriate expectations regarding delivery of work. Managing risk with clear communication to both internal and external teams. Risk is usually related to requirements gathering and testing and timing changes. Balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources, and risk to produce a high-quality outcome. Delivery of incremental product with clear communication skills required. Managing both internal and customer relationships and ensure their delivery, on time and on budget. Schedule and run regular (weekly) status meetings with clients, including any documentation creation. Ability to manage multiple projects ensure sequencing and resources are appropriate. Managing the tracking of projects, resources, risks, conflicts. Problem solving skills required with both internal and external teams. Understand the SDLC and prioritization of features and functionality and communicate this to stakeholders. Creating and distributing written communication, training, documentation for end users. Creating and writing user guides, tips or other documentation needed for assisting product end users. Creating and distributing written communication to stakeholders for product release. Documenting and distributing product release and hot fix management, assisting the technical team with any needed change management documentation. Providing backup for other reports needed for the product release and development metrics. EXPERIENCEEDUCATION Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area Experience in implementing Software as a Service (SaaS) application for a client, including configuration and customization. Knowledge of Project Management theories and practices applicable to limited-scope projects. Experience with Agile approach to SDLC. Experience and understanding of basic Agile ceremonies (daily standup, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, backlog grooming, and demosreviews). Experience translating user storiesuse cases from client to the engineering team for implementationconfiguration andor customizationnew features. Working knowledge of SDLC management software like Jira, Confluence, and Aha Is desirable but not required. Working knowledge of Project Management tools like Teamwork, Microsoft Project, is desirable but not required. SKILLSABILITIES Responsible with a wide degree of creativity and implementation latitude. Advanced oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and experience using online communication (slack, zoom, email) and offline communication (phone, text, in person). Relies on critical thinking skills and work applicable experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with the team. Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational requirements. Ability to manage difficult clients andor situations with professionalism. Ability to learn multiple software tools, including project management tools (Teamwork, Microsoft Project) and software development tools (Jira, Pivotal Tacker, Mingle, etc.) Ability to learn and use multiple product management tools, (Confluence, Aha, Microsoft Teams) Ability to create a daily priority list and stay on task, while communicating with team using Slack, Emails, teamwork and Jira continuously throughout the workday. Ability to work independently and remotely without close supervision. Ability to have regular team interaction throughout the day, especially during the key daytime working hours.
