We are currently looking for a Safety Manager/EHS Manager/HSE manager to manage and lead the Health, Safety, Wellness, and Environmental areas of our Lenexa/Overland park area facility.What You Will Be Doing The Safety Manager will directly be responsible for all Health and Safety matters at the plant which includes interfacing with OSHA, maintaining compliance to OSHA standards and corporate Policies as well as providing training and support to plant personnel. Role will break down to be about 75% Safety oriented, 25% environment on the whole, but priorities will shift back and forth based on reporting timelines, issues that come about, unexpected needs, and changes to regulatory standards etc. In this role you will perform the following: "Provide overall strategic leadership and set the direction of the Plants safety culture and management system. "Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following and administering all internal and external workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards. "Responsible program requirements for areas such as Industrial Hygiene Sampling, Hearing Conversation, Hazardous Waste and Environmental Compliance. "Manage and Lead the Plant Safety Program, including leading the plant safety committee and employee engagement activities. "Conduct thorough incident investigations and work closely on workmans compensation claims. "Serve as the company's Safety Representative for all OSHA activities at the plant "Provide required safety training for all plant personnel. "Interface with Corporate Management concerning plant safety compliance, reporting metrics, activities, recommendations, critical support, and new equipment installation.What You Need for this Position We are looking for an experienced leader, who can bring with them at least 5 years of hands on work experience in an applicable role, performing in a manufacturing/industrial setting, along with the prerequisite 4 year degree preferred or appropriate safety designations (OSHA 500 & 501 Safety Training, Certified Safety Profession, Industrial Hygiene Sampling Certification). Those with experience in developing policies and procedures and conducting Systematic Cause Analysis Techniques (SCAT) and risk assessments and both project, process and personnel management/leadership are desired. Strong communication skills, including interpersonal and documentation skills, along with an ability to train, motivate and a persuasive yet "information sharing" nature and ability will success in this role, along with a personal level of integrity, credibility and a drive for excellence and success.
