-Your Responsibilities -As a Dealer Technology Manager for -JD
Olathe located in Olathe, KS, or East Moline, IL, you will: -
- Develop and maintain a peer-to-peer relationship with strategic
accounts personnel beginning with the dealer principal/owner and
other senior staff members and key operational dealership
employees. In addition, you will:
- Direct all sales activities for strategic accounts and is
accountable for ensuring that dealership goals for Information
Technology (IT) optimization and unit/site goals for profitability
and dealer satisfaction are achieved.
- Enable dealers to become more effective and competitive through
assessment of current business processes and systems,
identification of opportunities for unit/site solutions, targeted
training of dealer personnel to increase utilization, and
optimization of current and future technology and system
investments.
- Contribute to annual business planning processes and leads
long-term Information Technology strategy for the dealer.
- Be accountable for an effective and efficient teamwork
environment across both sales and operations that delivers service
levels to meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Be responsible for problem solving through diagnosis of dealer
needs and creation of high-impact solutions that leverage
multi-functional resources within and outside of unit/site.
- Work with other divisions to execute channel strategies and
ensure support and commitment to achieve desired results.
- Be a contributor and resource for evaluation of new products,
services and solutions which will keep unit/site on the leading
edge of industry-specific applications designed to increase dealer

position.What Skills You Need -
- 3 or more years of experience with dealer business practices,
ideally including the practices followed at John Deere
dealerships
- 3 or more years with knowledge and understanding of dealer
facing systems
- 2 or more years of computer systems knowledge, ideally
including the systems used at John Deere
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to
75%
- 3 or more years of successful negotiating and selling skills
and experience
- 2 or more years of broad based business, sales and marketing
skills and experience -What Makes You Stand Out -
- Experience working with John Deere channel applications
- Knowledge of dealer business systems and processes
- Sales experience, preferably within a John Deere unit or
division
- Experience working in customer service or related
customer-oriented environment
- Experience selling directly to an end-user customer in a retail
environment
- Experience with Marketing, enterprise customer acquisition, and
customer support processesEducation -Ideally you will have a degree
or equivalent related work experience in the following: -
- Degree in Business/Management or Marketing discipline or
equivalent experience - University Degree (4 years or
