Then come work with us this summer!We have an opportunity to utilize some of the skills you've already learned in high school or college and putting those to practical use. Our Customer Service Team at the Olathe Community Center needs you! We are looking for someone to help us evaluate our business practices. In the position you will have the opportunity to apply your existing customer service skills, practice documenting current business processes, provide written and verbal evaluations for our several of our summer programs. Help us learn more about the customer experience as a "secret shopper" at a variety of locations including but not limited to: community center, aquatics facilities, city parks and party rental facilities. You will gain skills in learning and applying your knowledge to analyze the information gathered and present that information to additional team members, including leadership.For more job details, review the full job details and requirements below.The Customer Service Intern will act as a Secret Shopper for multiple summer activities to provide insights into the overall customer experience. This role will provide ideas on ways we can continually improve during our busiest season. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit City of Olathe facilities such as pools, parks, libraries, and the Olathe Community Center to perform audits of key customer experience initiatives
  • Develop questionnaires, presentations, and reports utilizing Microsoft Forms, Qualtrics, and PowerPoint
  • Collect, analyze, and make recommendations based on data collected related to Customer Service initiatives via in person interactions, phone calls, and online experiences to support leadership's shaping and development of training, coaching, and experience planning across the organization
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email with citizens and guests of the City of Olathe by learning the core responsibilities and expectations of the Customer Service Representatives representing the Welcome Desk at the Olathe Community Center
  • Support the Customer Service Supervisor in the training and knowledge retention efforts for teams performing Welcome Desk roles within Outdoor Aquatic Facilities providing data supported feedback, recommendations, and insights
  • Professionally collaborate with Exceptional Services and Quality of Life stakeholders to accomplish focus area goals
  • Perform other duties as assignedExperience and Education Guidelines Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: Experience: Pursing a degree in business, management, data analytics, or another relevant field. Knowledge of Qualtrics, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Forms, beneficial but not required.Education: Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program License or Certification: valid driver's license required SUPERVISED BY: Customer Service Supervisor SUPERVISES: None
