A dynamic nursing role is available within a school district located in Kansas City, MO, offering an engaging travel opportunity throughout multiple school sites. This position involves working as a Registered Nurse floating among PreK-12 schools, serving as the on-site health room RN, and supporting students healthcare needs in diverse educational settings. Key Responsibilities: - Provide nursing care and health assessments across various school locations, including PreK through 12th grade. - Float between schools during the day, including assisting on field trips, managing more than one site per day. - Operate independently as the sole RN in many instances, managing health room operations. - Adapt to fluctuating daily schedules, typically between 7:00 AM2:30 PM or 9:00 AM4:30 PM, tailored to school start and dismissal times. - Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and documentation. - Collaborate and communicate effectively with school staff and administration to ensure student health and safety. - Embrace flexibility as schedules may change due to field trip demands or staff absences. Desired Qualifications: - Current and active Missouri RN license verified with no disciplinary actions. - Recent pediatric nursing experience preferred, ideally in ICU, ER, or school health nursing. - Strong technology skills to manage computerized charting and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work independently and confidently in a variety of school settings. - Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to cover diverse age groups from PreK-12. - Excellent communication skills and dependability. Location: - Position is based in Kansas City, Missouri; candidates must be local and able to travel between district schools.
