Job Description:
An employee in this class is responsible providing programmatic
support to management in departments that provide residential
services for persons with developmental disabilities, mental
illness and/or autism spectrum disorders. The Program Support
Coordinator is a non-exempt, hourly position. Supervision is
received from a Director or other professional staff member;
however, the employee is expected to exercise independent judgement
and initiative within the limit of established policies and
procedures. Essential Job Functions The below are intended as
examples of various types of work performed, they are not all
inclusive. The omission of a specific job duty from the below does
not exclude them as a required job function as specified by the
appropriate supervisor: 1. performs ISL variances checks 2.
Completes home checks and other site visits to ensure quality
services are provided 3. Performs quality assurance audits as
directed 4. Performs audits on client and other relevant
documentation to ensure best practices are followed 5. Under the
direction of the Director, investigates complaints of individuals
served, parents and/or guardians, takes appropriate action or
refers problems to the other responsible official for resolution.
6. Circulates and implements directives of the Director, or other
professional, maintains necessary records and reports. 7. Monitors
group home and/or ISL budgets, food accounts, client personal
spending, and ensures that accounting practices are maintained
according to agency policy, and as assigned by supervisor 8.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities 1. Ability to exercise good judgement and
discretion. 2. Ability to work with and respect persons with
intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum,
psychiatric and behavior disorders. 3. Ability to work varied and
flexible hours, accept and adapt to changes in assignments,
methods, policies, etc. 4. Knowledge of basic techniques used in
the care, treatment and habilitative programming for individuals
with mental illness, autism spectrum disorders and/or developmental
disabilities. 5. Knowledge of elementary behavior support
techniques. 6. Ability to understand and follow oral and written
direction. 7. Ability to provide direct client care as needed, must
be able to stand, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, pull and push items.
8 Must be a licensed and insured driver, with ability to obtain a
Missouri Class E driver license. Minimum Experience Diploma from an
accredited high school or equivalent. One-year experience in the
human service field is preferred. Experience in the provision of
treatment and habilitation to individuals who have mental illness,
autism spectrum disorders, and/or developmental disabilities is
preferred. Has demonstrated abilities to motivate and lead
others.
