Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital-based Med/Surg experience and an active KS or Compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work setting is an acute care hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit (2 South/North) - Patient population includes General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecological, Urology, Orthopedic, and Medical patients (cellulitis, back pain, kidney stones) - Procedures and skills include Heparin Drips, TPN, PCAs, and telemetry rhythm interpretation - EMR is Epic; ability to test out of Epic training may be possible - 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM - Every other weekend required - No on-call responsibilities - Holiday coverage based on unit needs - Floating required to all acute care units - Orientation consists of approximately 5 days: initial NEO at the main campus, followed by on-site orientation and Director of Nursing training, with virtual Epic training on day 5 if unable to test out - This is a nicotine-free facility - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates /n /n Requirements/n - Active KS RN or Compact RN license required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience within the last 18 months in a hospital setting - Experience with General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecological, Urology, and Orthopedic patient populations required - Experience with Medical diagnoses including cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones required - Experience with Heparin Drips, TPN, and PCAs required - Ability to measure and interpret telemetry rhythms required - New graduates are not eligible for this position - Two professional references required for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-674932.
