Job Description Job Description Description: Purpose: Provides psychiatric assessment, medication reviews, treatment and consultation on behalf of a variety of clients. The staff psychiatrist understands the medical responsibility of Wyandot Center clients will be vested in him/her as a licensed physician. Accountabilities: Provides direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment of clients assigned to him/her. Provides clinical direction to ARNP’s and nursing staff. Participates in administrative duties as assigned, which could include, for example, being a member of or chairing the relevant committees. Performs utilization review responsibilities including review of treatment planning. Assists with ongoing education and clinical supervision of the clinical staff. Participates in interdisciplinary assessment and treatment planning with clinical staff. Requirements: Qualifications: Education : Licensed as a psychiatrist in the State of Kansas. Skills & Abilities : Ability to work positively with a variety of mental health professionals. Ability to recognize and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences. Ability to safely perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations
