Job Description:
Overview: Manages the daily operations and staff of the Ride
Operations department. Making decisions for the Department in the
absence of an Area Manager. Responsibilities: Manages the daily
operations and staff of the Ride Operations department. Schedules,
trains, directs, motivates, evaluates and disciplines staff with
appropriate documentation. Acts on associate and safety concerns.
Make decisions for the department in the absence of an Area
Manager. Ensures the availability and proper operation of all
materials and equipment, taking appropriate corrective action as
needed. Communicates regularly with management, including
operational issues, associate or guest concerns, losses and any
unusual situations. Establishes and maintains a good working
relationship with other departments and support teams. Enforces and
follows the critical components of IROC with training. Provides
guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the
guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest
interactions, answering questions, and giving directions. Maintains
cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all
duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and
requirements and report all unsafe or unusual conditions to
supervision. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including
nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets
Six Flag’s attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flag’s
attendance policies. Adheres to Six Flag’s Rules of Conduct
including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in
Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and
procedures. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required : Ability to detect and
react quickly to problems or inconsistencies. Ability to maintain a
calm-demeanor during emotionally charged situations. Ability to
add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute
rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level
sufficient to conduct employee meetings; provide detailed direction
to staff, guests, and vendors; and write policies, procedures,
reports and other business-related documents and correspondence.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 6 Months - 1 Year
Related Experience At Least 18 Years of Age IROC Ride Operator
Certification RT Certified Trainer Ability to work nights, weekends
and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a
mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless
prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background
check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not
limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education
and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by
federal, state, or provincial law.
