Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Must have : 2 years experience REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ACLS, NIH · Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills · Management of vasoactive drips List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Central Line or PICC line placement Best personality Fit: · Positive attitude and desire to work as a member of a team Floating Area(s): · MedSurg Units Dress Code : (Required uniform) · Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms. · Black or charcoal grey jackets, with the option to order unit specific jackets. Awards/Recognition: · Unit of Distinction Honorable Mention 2018 Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: · Designated Education Unit · New cardiac monitors to allow visual of cardiac rhythm in each room. Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds: 36 · Patient Ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 PM or 1:4AM, 1:5PM (with patient care techs) · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Typically, total RN based care with no techs. Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for a number of resources. · Type of equipment: BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: FT Staff: 36 hours/week with every 3rd weekend rotation, PT staff: 48 hours/week with every 3rd weekend rotation, PRN 1 Staff: 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement, PRN 2 Staff: 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements. Rotating holiday schedule. · Floating policy: PRN floats 1 time per week, FT/PT staff floats in a rotation based upon dates, bonus shifts always float first · Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds.
