We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a clinical nurse coordinator you will serve as the eyes and ears for the nurse manager on a given shift. You will make rounds on patients and staff, leads by example, and serves as a liaison between the unit and other hospital departments. You must have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.What you will do in this role:
  • You will assume responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift.
  • You will function as a resource person for staff members and assist in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
  • You will assume responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when on duty
  • You will make decisions regarding activities with these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.What Qualifications You Will Need:
    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
    • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
    • BLS certification required and maintained.
    • Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
    • Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/ management experience is preferred.
