Olathe Health#is looking for dedicated and caring professionals to join our system!# If you enjoy an environment of team oriented patient care and an excellent staff of co-workers, you have found the right place!# Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed#general acute care hospital facility,#is currently looking for an RN - PCU professional to join our team. # #Registered Nurse # Progressive Care Unit (PCU) ###High acuity unit for cardiac, vascular, DKA, and critical care unit step down ###12 hour shift/every 3rd weekend rotation ####15 bed unit (All private rooms) ##Team nursing approach# ##Assisted by fully proficient Patient Care Technician (PCT) Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care.# He/she provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. He/she integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families through the continuum of care.# The RN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team. He/she ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning.# Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.# Demonstrates leadership skills in decision-making and problem solving.# The RN integrates and communicates knowledge and sensitivity to patient#s psychosocial, spiritual, cultural and age specific needs.# He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards and organizational/departmental policies and procedures. Position Requirements: Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required Experience: Knowledge, Skills: Verbal Communication, Organizational, Assessment, Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Customer Relations and Critical Thinking/Reasoning skills required License, Registration and/or Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact required upon hire Healthcare Provider#CPR # (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) required within 7 days from date of hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - (New graduates # within one year of employment) within 180 days from date of hire # EEO Employer M/F/Disabled/Vet # #CB JobSummaryDisplay: Olathe Health is looking for dedicated and caring professionals to join our system!
