Job Summary "We provide the Walt Disney World Resort with high quality textile services at the lowest possible cost through the integration of cast, technology, innovation, and leadership."That's our mission at Walt Disney World Textile Services, the largest and most automated privately owned laundry in the world operating four facilities for laundering costumes, housekeeping linen, food and beverage linen, and specialty items.The Manager, Textile Services, will lead and inspire Leaders and the hourly Cast. This role will manage the daily operation and guide strategic value at our on-property industrial laundry processing facilities.If selected, you will report to the Director, Textile Services. Responsibilities/You Will

  • Lead a diversified team of Operations Managers, Textile Service Managers, Office & Technical, and hourly union Cast Members. Inspire and motivate our Cast to create legendary service
  • Collaborate with operational and engineering peers to drive business optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute a strategy-oriented operating plan focused on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Drive enhanced financial, Client, and Cast results for the area with a focus on safety, elevated service, quality, efficiency, and optimization
  • Develop, interpret and utilize metrics and operational indicators to measure, motivate and enhance performance
  • Demonstrate attributes of leadership: strategic thinking, nimble responsiveness to changing demands & priorities, driving high standards, fiscal responsibility, risk-taking, courage, and team-building
  • Positively handle high-pressure situations, and respond effectively to downtimes, contingencies, and emergencies
  • Partner with teams to support project execution and integration; verify scope of work, operational impact, readiness, and contingency planning
  • Oversee budgets, labor management, and contribute to the preparation of the annual operating and capital plans
  • Support change, taking calculated risks to integrate processes, remove barriers and align performance goals
  • Execute performance management responsibilities to drive career development and accountability for the salaried and O&T Cast Members
  • Manage the relationship with the union cast and union business agent. Work within the terms and conditions of the contract while representing the company's position during any grievances or arbitrations Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
    • Commitment to promote a safe and inclusive work environment that supports workforce diversity, diverse perspectives, and building relationships to cultivate a team environment
    • High proficiency managing the financial aspects of an operation including budget, daily labor costs and annual operating plan and producing positive results
    • Competency to translate metrics into clear, story-based presentations to influence different audiences and levels of leadership and enhance results
    • Creativity to find solutions, remove barriers and identify opportunities for continuous improvement while serving as a trusted advisor for direct reports, peers, partners, and other leaders
    • Advanced skills in managing demands and priorities simultaneously amidst constant change while holding self and others accountable
    • Established history of exhibiting a visible leadership commitment in modeling Leadership competencies and behaviors
    • Competency in working with partners from different levels and teams to move the operation forward to the next level of excellence
    • Capability to share communication across teams to ensure everyone understands updates, priorities, and appropriate course of escalation
    • Increased focus on supporting the roles of trainers and coordinators within the business
    • Technical skills with production process and reporting tools. Experience increasing productivity and efficiency
    • Experience working in a Union environment, including understanding union contracts and administering guidelines fairly
    • Willingness to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and different shifts Preferred Qualifications
      • Experience in manufacturing environment
      • 7+ years in a leadership role
      • Bi-lingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole) Required Education
        • Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering Preferred Education
