POSITION:The Division Engineer is responsible for monitoring
bridge, arches, and culverts conditions and overseeing new
construction, maintenance repairs or the renewal of bridges,
arches, and culverts in the CPKC system.POSITION
ACCOUNTABILITIES:Plans and implements proper job procedures to
promote safe work practicesEnsures full compliance of safety rules,
good housekeeping, and safe working conditions for all bridge
personnelConducts safety meetings with and audits bridge personnel
to identify safety concerns and ensure safe work practices and rule
complianceProvides safe and reliable tools and equipment to bridge
personnelWorks with Purchasing to develop contracts for bridge
repair or renewalResponsible for CPKC scales across the
systemResponsible for administration of safety action plan for
Bridge departmentStays within budgetsSolicits quotes from equipment
and material suppliers and Purchasing to ensure best price and
availabilityDemonstrates operational excellence by knowing and
applying the business requirementsDemonstrates customer focus and
contingency planning to ensure stakeholder expectations are
metUnderstands the relevant business metrics and applies effective
tactics to sustain a culture of operational effectiveness that
produces teams of high performing, engaged and empowered
operational leadersIdentifies when a rule/regulation/policy has
been violated and has one-on-one accountability conversations with
an individual who has not met expectationsPOSITION
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or
college, preferably in a job related major field of studyMinimum
ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, including
leading and managing complex projects or programs with
outcome-focused deliverables, or equivalent combination of
education and experienceMinimum three (3) years of managerial
