KVC employees are also expected to maintain knowledge of, and adhere to, all company policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.--- Responsible for timely and accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP--- Create accurate and timely financial statements--- Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and that variances are researched and resolved in a timely manner--- Identify financial statement variances and/or trends, review general ledger activity, document variance explanations and provide input to management--- Assist with financial audit work paper preparation--- Generate grant invoices and reporting--- Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures that enhance controls and efficiencies--- Maintain written accounting proceduresRequirements:All employees must be at least 21 years of age.Education:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or universityLicensure/Certification:Valid driver's license and auto insuranceExperience:Two or more years of accounting/finance experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceKVC provides a competitive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans; nine paid holidays and additional paid time off; 403(b) employee contribution retirement plan and profit-sharing plan; free short and long-term disability insurance coverage for employees and a tuition reimbursement option!At KVC, you will enjoy a professional and innovative atmosphere focused on serving diverse children and families in Kansas.
